How the Solar Panel Installation Process works

Step 1: The Site Survey

A site survey is needed before you begin the process of installing solar panels. One of our qualified technicians will help you out here. We will send our team to verify the solar panel system and take measurements to ensure the installation process runs smoothly. Don’t worry, if they find any obstructions, they will make potential adjustments or suggestions for improvement.

Step 2: The Design Process

Once a site survey has been completed, it’s time for our design experts to take over. The design team will work on a final plan before the installation begins. They will make any changes needed to ensure your solar energy system works effectively.

Step 3: Obtaining Permits

Your design is complete, and you’re ready for installation. There’s just one more step you need to take before continuing, which is getting a permit. Don’t worry, we will take care of everything. Our team will submit our solar energy plans to the building department for approval. The waiting period can take anywhere from 2–8 weeks, but once it is granted, you are good to go.

Step 4: Schedule your Installation

Once you receive approval from the building department, you are set to go! Our team will contact you to schedule your installation. You can choose a time that suits you. You will get a chance to go over the plans with our professional installers. We will give you a full run-down of the process and answer any questions that you may have. Once you approve, we begin work. Installation can take up to five days, but sometimes more time may be needed depending on the size of the system you are installing.

Step 5: The Final Inspection

After your system has been installed, the utility company will need to conduct a final inspection and provide approval. We will arrange for the inspection inspection, and, upon approval, we will connect your system to the power grid. There is a waiting period here, which is usually between 1 and 4 weeks depending on the utility company’s schedule.

Step 6: Start Operating Your Solar Energy System

When your solar energy system is connected to the grid, we will submit all the documentation to your utility company. The utility company will then install a meter on your home, and you are ready to start operating your system and generating energy! The meter will measure the amount of electricity that your solar system generates. Once the meter is installed, you are set to start saving!
